Well parents we are in our last week of the term. I would just like to take this chance to thank you for all your support over the term.
Holy Week
Palm Sunday was the beginning of Holy Week, the most important time for Christians as we remember the sacrifice made by Jesus for us.
You are warmly welcomed to any of the liturgies we are holding this week.
Please continue to read books with your children at home, at the library or those that are in their reading bags. It's so important that they continue to read over the holidays to consolidate learning and not lose to much progress. Thank you for this. It really does make a difference.
The new children and any other children who are learning letter names and sounds need to continue doing some each day over the holidays. It would also help your child if you would read the 'apple tree' words and the 'ladder card' for the older children each day. It helps to consolidate their learning.
Take any opportunities you can to count up to 20 /50. What number comes after? What is 1 more? This only takes a few minutes a day and again is of great benefit to your child.
The children enjoyed the Marae trip and again thanks to those parents who were able to help. I will have photos of the trip on the blog this week as I learn how to publish photos from an I Pad
There is no swimming this week.
