Welcome parents to Room 5. I look forward to working with you this term and helping your children to learn.
If any parents are happy to help in class or at home it would be greatly appreciated.
I have an open door policy so please come and talk to me or ask questions if unsure of anything.
At the back of the home books will be a reading log where books sent home to read each night are signed. The front of home book will have any learning your child needs to work on. I will talk more about this on 'Meet the Teacher'.
What's coming up
Thursday the 12th of February. Meet the Teacher for Junior classes starting at 3:05. We will meet in Room 5 for approximately 20 minutes. We will talk about how things work in Room 5, e.g with the blog, homework, communication and other systems I use. Please attend as there is a lot of information at the beginning of the year and this time allows you to ask and be clear.

The first two big goals this term for all the children are to..
Our concept this term is 'Communites'
We start to look at our class learning community, how we learn and help others in the class to learn. What communities do we belong to and what are our responsibilities.
We will also look at other communities who help, e.g.,firemen, ambulance.
Have a great week parents.
